“It is hard to un-scare people.  Even if they realize they are wrong, it is hard to get over it,” said Seth Mnookin, whose new book focuses on fear and vaccines. The Panic Virus: A True Story of Medicine, Science, and Fear explores the fraudulent panics surrounding childhood vaccinations in the United States. Mnookin will be speaking in Denver and Boulder March 9 and 10 at events co-hosted by the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition and the Colorado Adult Immunization Coalition. [+] more

The Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition (CCIC) and the Colorado Adult Immunization Coalition (CAIC) will host a talk with Seth Mnookin, nationally acclaimed author of “The Panic Virus: A True Story of Science, Medicine and Fear” at The Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, Mar. 9 at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Mt. Oxford Room, located on level two of the hospital. The hospital is located at 13123 16th Ave., Aurora, Colo. (80045). A reception and book signing will follow the 2 p.m. presentation.
